Hi Guys,

My mate brought a sacker buggy last month with a Force 28 engine in it. All was going well till last night till engine just stopped. We turned the flywheel over and its got no compression so we pulled it apart expecting the conrod to have broken but it turns out that the wee rod which comes off the crank which the conrod connects to has broken clean off ! Is this common ? Any ideas on what woudl cause this ? And more importantly does anyone know who stocks parts for this engine ? Can you buy jsut the crank ?

Cheers

the force 28 is the kit engine for the hong nor x1crt RTR truggy

so i guess the sellers of hong nor could get the parts you need.

I would try Kelvin here first then try J&N hobbies/books in Upper Hutt as well as Frankton models in Hamilton.

Running too lean or poor break-in would cause that to happen, also if the engine has had a "runaway" and rev'd up.

engine was already in buggy when purchased second hand, has been used for about 4 litres and has been running quite rich. i suspect it ahs been over-revved as we have been usign our buggies down at park a fair bit in open space with quite a lot of full throttle.

I am in regular contact with the distributor of the Force motors, if you would like to telephone me on 04 5283456 I will attempt to fix your problem. Also have a range of Sacker parts and access to all the rest Ross J&N Hobbies.
