Has anybody tried to swap the pos & neg around on the servo lead to reverse the direction?

I have just installed some higher rated servos in my heli but they run in the opposite direction to the stock ones and the transmitter has no reversing switches on it....

Worth a try? Or am I pushing it? :?

I swapped the red and black around - left the white...

Blew the servo up in an instant

Any other ideas? (apart from puchasing a expensive transmitter  )

Hi Mark I have just thought about your problem I think you would have to swap the actual motor leads inside the servo as the electronics need the polarity to be correct but dont know if the feed back position indicator will be affected by the reverse funtion. you could try this on a rubbish servo first.

Swapped the two motor wires around and the servo just spins like crazy. Put the wires back around the right way and it works fine.

I give up - now looking for a transmitter with servo reverse function....

I think the spinning has something to do with the feed back as it would be looking for the signal a certain way can you turn this upside down so the direction of the servo matches the feed back sensor position.

if you have reversed 2 servos on the same stick, try rotating the gimbal assembly 180 *, as in pull apart the radio remove the whole stick assembly rotate and reassemble

the other thing to try is find out if your radio is positive or negative pulse and buy servos to suit

Yeah I thought about rotating it but the trims have to go with it and the boss stays the same, so there is no room for the trims.

I just purchased another transmitter cheap of TM that has reversing - hope that solves the problem.

Im getting chopper withdrawls
